What everybody needs to understand- and its not rocket science- is that the diet only goes so far if you're not complementing it with a barbell, dumbbell, jump rope, an open road, a treadmill, a squat rack, a plyometric pushup, a crossfit WOD-- whatever u fancy... but the other two parts, along WITH the diet, produce long lasting results that are extremely beneficial-- the muscle added through resistance training is metabolically expensive, and will burn calories at a much higher rate than excess body fat.
Remember to stay in anabolism, or a muscle building/maintenance state, the trainee needs to EAT continually throughout the day- quality calories, healthy fats, protein, and yes, carbohydrates (beans, vegetables, oatmeal, fruit... fibrous carbs). |
