Reducing oxidative stress to create a healthier you

3/31/2016

A fantastic product that is fully endorsement worthy- Protandim by Lifevantage.  I believe anyone, including doctors and medical professionals who haven't yet researched Protandim, would endorse the product after being educated on the cellular benefits.  Certainly, the terms "revolutionary" and "breakthrough" arouse suspicion, and rightly so, but Protandim appears to be an exception to the "please don't use those words in conjunction with this product" rule.  And its an exception for a reason-- multiple peer reviewed studies completed at accredited, well known universities that are done INDEPENDENTLY -- not on the company's (Lifevantage) dime. The studies continually and consistently show Protandim, which is a synergistic blend of 5 natural herbs, to lower oxidative stress (cellular inflammation) dramatically.

Fairlife Milk - Makes a protein shake you look forward to drinking

3/14/2016

If you haven't yet heard of or tried Fairlife milk, give it a taste-- it makes a phenomenal, (more)nutritional, frothy protein shake that you actually look forward to drinking.

Supposedly they use filters to strip more of the "sugary stuff" out and increase the anabolic muscle stuff as well as the bone health/density stuff-- protein and calcium (if I was a good grammar student I'd say "respectively").

This milk should certainly be in the fridges of all fitness enthusiasts-- especially the ones looking to gain muscle!

B'More Organic Skyr Smoothies

3/10/2016

Check out the B'more Organic Skyr Smoothies. These make a great after workout recovery drink. The label on these smoothies states that there is no sugar added and the smoothies have 30g-40g of protein per bottle, depending on the flavor. Check out their website for more information and the nutrition labels.

You can get the Skyr Smoothies at Kroger in the refrigerated organic section. The Strawberry smoothie is my favorite flavor so far. I haven't tried the vanilla yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
More info about the product from their website:

skyr /skeer/
Viking settlers are believed to have brought the knowledge of how to make skyr with them from Norway to Iceland. But, the art of skyr—making has been lost in Scandinavia. Skyr is still a very popular product in Iceland, a country with the world’s second longest life expectancy. Skyr looks and tastes like Greek yogurt. It’s made with skim milk, so it’s naturally very low in sugar and is fat-free. It’s also an excellent source of protein and calcium. Much of the lactose is consumed by the bacteria, so it can be consumed by people who are lactose sensitive. The special bacteria culture also gives skyr its taste and makes it full of healthy probiotics.
